Description Alexandru Georgescu 2012-11-22 16:20:03 UTC
A warning appears when building a clutter C++ project.

HOST MACHINE: Fedora 17 64bit
Eclipse Plugin: http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20121121-3/eclipse-plugin/
Toolchain used: http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20121121-3/toolchain/x86_64/ for ARM
SYSROOT used: http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org/pub/nightly/20121121-3/machines/qemu/qemuarm/core-image-sato-sdk-qemuarm-20121121211457.rootfs.tar.bz2

STEPS
1. have a headless build with the eclipse plugin from above.
2. extract the toolchain and sysroot
3. Configure eclipse to use Toolchain and the Sysroot extracted in step 2
4. Create a Clutter project for C++
5. Reconfigure
6. Build

EXPECTED RESTULTS
6. Build successful

ACTUAL RESULTS:
6. Build is successful but the following warning appears:
Description	Resource	Path	Location	Type
ignoring return value of 'ClutterInitError clutter_init(int*, char***)', declared with attribute warn_unused_result [-Wunused-result]	arm_clutter_CPP_01.cpp	/arm_clutter_CPP_01/src	line 193	C/C++ Problem
Comment 1 Ioana Grigoropol 2013-03-12 16:32:04 UTC
We decided to remove support for clutter projects in Eclipse due to the fact that clutter is no longer supported in core-image-sato and core-image-sato-sdk. Clutter was not included by itself in the images, but brought by clutter-box2d, which was removed since it is not suitable for oe-core.
As Ross suggested (on bug 3991), gtk templates can be used instead.
I have sent the patch that removes clutter templates from Eclipse plugin to list for review.
